Meet Sara Green, the driving force and visionary owner of Dollface Beauty & Wellness. Her story is a captivating journey of determination, passion, and a deep connection to the world of beauty and healing. Hailing from the picturesque Bahamas and raised in the vibrant city of Hamilton, Sara's journey is as unique as the experiences that have shaped her.

Dollface's Genesis

In January of 2017, Sara transformed her basement into the birthplace of Dollface Beauty Bar. The mission was clear: to provide top-tier lash services to a discerning clientele, filling a void in the market. The response was overwhelming, and by August 2017, Sara was ready to open her first storefront in Burlington.

A Blossoming Empire

Dollface Beauty Bar quickly flourished, boasting a team of over 20 full-time stylists. This success paved the way for expansion, leading to the launch of Dollface Oakville in January 2019, nestled in the heart of Oakville's bustling downtown core.

Challenges and Adaptation

Sara's journey was not without its share of hurdles. From major downtown construction to a three-month closure due to a salon flood and the unforeseen challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, each obstacle became an opportunity for reinvention. Sara reflects, "It's been a ride. It has forced us to rethink how we do things and how the new post-COVID consumer behaves.”

The Evolution of Dollface

Initially, Dollface Beauty Bar specialized exclusively in lash services, and it was a hit. However, the ever evolving world forced a transformation. Although the Burlington salon permanently closed due to COVID, it drove Dollface to reimagine its offerings. In response to the growing demand for other beauty services and through curating and revising its menu, Dollface Beauty & Wellness was born, redefining the brand for women in the Oakville and Halton Region. In September 2024, Dollface acquired a new space in the vibrant Kerr Village community to align with its expanded vision and services. This new chapter marks an exciting evolution for the brand, embracing growth and innovation to better serve the Oakville community.
